A GIFT FOR YOU
December 2020
Dear Friends,
For the first two weeks of Advent, the focus of the season can be summed up in the phrase, “The Lord is coming.” But beginning with the Third Sunday of Advent, Gaudete Sunday, our focus changes. The summary might be, “The Lord is near.” This shift is marked by a lighter mood and a heightened sense of joyous anticipation for the celebration of Christmas.
In this most unpredictable and unprecedented year, the news of vaccines for COVID-19 provide for us another shift—one that is also marked by a heightened sense of joyous anticipation of once again gathering with everyone in-person for our Sunday Mass.
Our tradition during the Advent season has been to offer a gift to you of an ornament for your Christmas tree. In the spirit of that tradition, please accept this AGLOChicago printable Christmas Ornament to cut out and color. It is a small reminder for your Christmas tree this year of our community of faith.
Have some fun coloring and putting your ornament together and share a photo of your finished ornament on our Facebook page at facebook.com/aglochicago or by email to aglo@aglochicago.org.
The Lord is near! Merry Christmas!
