Over the past three years, Pope Francis has led the Church in the Synod on Synodality, a process of sharing, listening, and praying, so that the Church might become more responsive to and aware of the needs of her people. AGLO has helped lead this dialogue.

 

This year, we were asked to reflect on the October 2023 Synthesis Document, released after the first session of this synod. AGLO conducted 2 Listening Sessions, or Spiritual Conversations, for the LGBTQ+ community, and offered an online survey option. We submitted a summary report to the Archdiocese of Chicago, which will become part of the USCCB's report to the Vatican.
