An invitation to join

the conversation

Part of any conversation is to listen. This is a time for the Roman Catholic Church to hear our voices as LGBTQ+ people of faith, sharing our unique stories, experiences, and thoughts.

Pope Francis is inviting people everywhere — and he is specifically reaching out to the LGBTQ+ community — to take part in a conversation about their relationship with the Universal Church, and about the future of the Church. As a marginalized community, we have too often walked alone or even outside of the Church. Answering the call, AGLOChicago is facilitating the local response so that LGBTQ+ Chicagoans can take part in this Synod.

Three pathways to Synod:

  • Self-Guided Path: An online journey of prayerful contemplation and response offered by the Archdiocese of Chicago.

  • AGLO-Guided Path: An online journey of prayerful contemplation and response offered by AGLO.

  • Listening Sessions: Join AGLO in one of two listening sessions via Zoom.
